Please note that the first gun for dinghies will be 2PM and cruisers 2.30PM. The starting area will be opposite the Cobh Promenade and all cruisers should keep well away from this area until all dinghies have started their race and moved up the course.
All boats taking part in this years Cobh to Blackrock race must complete and submit the online entry form (see link below). Its a very simple form, there’s no entry fee, it just helps to speed things up on the day and ensure all boats taking part get a result. Any problems with the form please email us at info@covesailingclub.ie.
Completed forms must be submitted before midday on Friday (14/9). Failure to submit your completed form may prevent you from getting a result.

The Port of Cork are once again providing complimentary overnight berthage for all competitors at their City Quays Marina. The prizegiving will take place at the Boardwalk restaurant where a barbecue will be available for competitors (priced around €10) or their usual menu will be on offer if you prefer. Hopefully the weather will be better than last year and we can avail of the great outside seating area but if the weather is not so good we will have space allocated to us inside so there is no excuse not to come back.
This year we will also be holding a raffle in aid of the Joe English Trust and tickets will be available on the day with the draw being held after the prize-giving. As always we’d appreciate as many boats and crews coming back to support the on-shore activities as possible.
Race details (in case you’ve not read the SI’s yet):
Cruisers (All Classes) and Dinghies
FG: 14:00 hrs (dinghies) / 14:30 hrs (cruisers)
Start Area Cobh Promenade / Committee Boat
VHF Channel 69 (Please listen out for start sequence, course details etc..)
Please note that you must enter your boat details online on/before Friday 14th September or you may not get a result.
