Cobh Traditional Sail & Sea Shanty 2016 Regatta
In Association with Cove Sailing Club and the Naval Service Squadron
Friday 24th June
- 00hrs Official opening ceremony at the Sirius Centre at 19.30 by Marcus
- 00hrs Sea Shanty Performance in various locations in Cobh
- Round up at the Quays bar at 22.00 hrs
Saturday 25th June
- 00hrs Registration of boats at Quays Pontoon & sale of merchandise
- 00hrs Skippers briefing @Quays Bar
- 00hrs Start of fun racing, with Rankin, Traditional and white sail.
- 00hrs Sea Shanty Performance in the town
- 30hrs Harbour Trip for our sponsors by the Spirit of Oysterhaven
- 00hrs BBQ at Quays with Photo exhibition of days Sailing and Shanty events
- 00hrs Sea Shanty Performance in various locations in Cobh
- Round up at the Roaring Donkey at 22,00 hrs
Sunday 26th June
- 00hrs Performances by visiting Sea Shanty groups.
- 00hrs Skippers briefing
- 00hrs Parade of sail, with Rankin, Traditional and white sail.
- 00hrs Sea Shanty Performance in the town.
- 00hrs Harbour Trip for our sponsors by the Spirit of Oysterhaven
- 00hrs Departure of 10 trainees aboard the Spirit of Oysterhaven (sponsored by Cobh Trad Sail & Pressure Hydraulics Cork),
Farewell by Sea Shanty Group.
- 30hrs Prize Giving in Quays
- Photo exhibition of Sailing and Shanty events in Quays
19.30hrs Concert performances by visiting Sea Shanty Groups at the Heritage Centre
Special performance by the pupils of Gaelscoil Sheáin Uí Éigeartaig
- Round up at the Commodore Hotel at 22.00hrs
