Please note the following Amendment (No.1) to the Friday Night League Notice of Race:

A5 Safety:

The following text to be added to the existing paragraph …… No anchor shall be carried forward of the stem or with any part outboard whilst racing. (End)

 

Further information:

In the interests of crew safety and in view of the large mixed fleet size and close racing we have been enjoying lately we ask all skippers to ensure compliance with this amendment in time for Friday’s race on 29/7 and for the remainder of the season. This rule will be introduced in all Cove SC NOR’s going forwards from this time. Skippers may be reminded to remove anchors prior to racing and shall be disqualified from taking part in club races if they do not comply with this rule. Thanks for your understanding.
