18 Jul Update – Coutts Quarter Ton Cup 2013

Illes Pitiuses finished the Quarter Ton Cup Series in 11th place overall, which is a great result in what is a very strong and highly competitive, international fleet. Conditions in Cowes sound very similar to here with postponement flags flying whilst waiting for sea breezes to fill in.

Despite this, the Race Officers managed to fit in 8 races over the three days and as expected the racing was very close with often 8 or more boats fishing within a minute of each other.

Anchor Challenge with Brian Carroll on board was also competing and they finished in 8th place. (Congrats. Brian.)
