Vice Admiral’s Cup 2012

With the refit of Jason and Dominic Losty’s “Illes Pitiuses” complete, the lads were over in Cowes at the weekend competing in the quarter ton class of this years Vice Admiral’s Cup hosted by the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club.

Together with Kieran & Gareth Dorgan, and Richard Marshall they completed the 8 race series in 6th place out of a fleet of 11 boats. To put this in to context, they were only just behind Anchor Challenge in 4th and Espada 5th (they won last years Coutts Quarter Ton Cup), and Black Fun finished in 9th. Impressive stuff and even more so when you consider that this was their first time out on their newly refurbished quarter tonner.

There will probably be a few stories to be heard when they return but in the meantime there are loads of pictures and full details on the Royal Corinthians website (click here) and if you want to see what Illes Pitiuses looks like now follow the link to “Fiona Brown’s Photography website” for a pic of them in action. The boat looks fantastic and virtually unrecognisable from when we last saw her in action during the 2011 Blackrock Race!
